There's still time to get your entry in for the Australian Timber Design Awards, but don't delay: Entries close 29 June 2012. And if you've signed up but haven't yet started on your entry, now's the time to get busy! The earlier you get started, the more help we can give you.

If you're having problems with your entry, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You may, for instance, want a little guidance on addressing some of the supplementary questions in the online Awards submission facility. The most common problem is with project galleries: Remember to upload a zip file of your images, not of the directory/folder containing your images.

Been working on a project that you think could be a winner? Have a look at our entry categories and our galleries of previous winners. When you're ready to start on your online entry, fill in a registration form. (You may add to and modify your entry up until the cutoff date, 29 June.)

Oh, and one more thing: Here's a great article in the New York Times about how cross-laminated timber (CLT) is "breaking the timber ceiling". We've written previously about ground-breaking projects Stadthaus and Forte. It's good to see a major newspaper getting the word out to the general public!
