Entries for the Australian Timber Design Awards are rolling in as we approach the submission cut-off date (17 June). Judging by these entries, 2011 will be a very good year for the Awards. The standout feature of entries thus far is sustainability: we've never seen such attention paid to the environmental benefits of designing in wood. (You'll see this for yourself when voting opens for the People's Choice Award in July.)

If you're not among these early entrants but you have a project that you think could be a winner, here's a tip: get your entry in before the end of May. It might take you some time to put your project details into our online submission facility, so don't wait until the last minute. And if you start early, we'll have more time in which to help you with your entry (just give us a call).

Want to see what it's all about? Have a look at our entry categories and last year's winners. And when you're ready to start on your online entry, sign up for the 2011 Awards. (You may add to and modify your entry up until 17 June.)
